Today is the first day of our Artists of Oxford group membership show, ‘Phases’, at the Woodstock Art Gallery. The show was open for all members to participate in, with each of us allowed two pieces of art to enter. It is curated by Sheila Perry, curator of the Woodstock Art Gallery, and it takes place in the Community Gallery, on the second floor.
Life is change, and change is life. We have taken the idea of these passing phases and each interpreted it in our own way, with an emphasis on the positive side of change. This will be the last exhibit before the gallery undergoes renovations in the summer to make it even better. I personally am looking forward to seeing the show as Ms. Perry has chosen to hang it. The show opens next Friday evening, May 16, 5 to 7 pm, along with some other events in downtown Woodstock. We would love for you to join us at the reception and enjoy the refreshments and the music!
