Legacy artist of the Group of Seven, Danielle Gardner’s passion is painting the Ontario landscape en plein air. Danielle teaches in Southwestern Ontario in the Thames Valley District School Board. Danielle works in an impressionistic style focusing on the colour and movement of trees, rocks and water through different seasons. Similar to Tom Thomson, she builds up her pieces with layers of underpainting that show through, to warm the final piece; each piece, its own journey.
